The Himalayan Voices:

More than most musical endeavors who is
the instrument and who is the player is suspect.
David “Gong Guy” – Alchemist &
Engine: Founding member he is the engine and mad
scientist of the Voices who is committed to bringing the joy of the magic
metals to people. His beginner mind
mantra and non-musician stance provide a great foundation for the band and the
metals to play through. Dave creates
custom Sound Sculptures, Sound Scapes and installations, selects and sells
‘sets’ of singing bowls, and presents sound/vibration workshops and bodywork to
facilities around the world. He has an
extensive healing background, a B.A. Psychology, and a M.S. in Organizational
Relations.
Drew Hannah : Percussionist,
Drummer with the Wilcox Brothers and occasional website updater. Drew handles some management issues for the
voices, which we keep at a minimum.
Drew likes to play the gongs to create a deeeeep body vibe and magic mind
ride.
Heidi Laura - Singing Bowl
Fairy: Like a breath of fresh air
Heidi brings her beauty, youth, essential oils, yoga and a deep connection with
the singing bowls to the Voices. At
most gigs Heidi will work up close and personal bringing the magic of the
singing bowls up close vibes to folks.
Heidi is a painter works with both art students and children to help
them bring their art to the world.
Ray Johnson – Sound Man & Producer: Ray plays a wide array of wind instruments, saxophones,
keyboards, guitar, and has sense of texture and composition for playing with
the tones of the sacred metals. Ray’s
extensive musical and recording background has been key to the successful
production of group recordings. He and
Dave worked as a duo to create the first three CDs and launch the group.
Sean Noblewolf : Overtone
singing, flute, clarinet, saxophone, all kinds for woodwinds, jaw harp, guitar,
Sean is gifted with a touch for any instrument. His Briefcase Traveling Altar of bells, chimes and bowls is an
efficient traveling laptop OM sound station.
Sean has chimed in on many bands like Temple Sounds, Tonal Waters, and
Tribes of Mantra.
