Singing Stupas

Legend has it that the original Stupas were repositories for the effects and remains of the historical Buddha and they would manifest treasures of all types. Stupas are currently found across the world in various forms.

Musically the Singing Stupa form acts as a natural amplifier producing a cloud of sound that can transport one naturally in and out of dreamtime. Himalayan Voice’s Dave Chambers says “Many Stupas include what appears to be a stack of bowls. This observation pushed me through many attempts to find a way to not only stack the bowls but allow them to vibrate freely in a Stupa configuration”.
